Seniors Isah Furr and Jahzaier Gray spoke with Redcat Brew students this week, sharing what they’ve learned from working on the school’s coffee cart. They discussed developing customer-service skills, managing daily operations, and building confidence through hands-on experience. Their visit offered younger students insight into the responsibilities and teamwork that help keep Redcat Brew running smoothly.

Jahze is a senior at Bay View High School and a first-year reporter for The Oracle. He has a strong interest in aerospace and plans to pursue studies in the field after graduation. In his free time, he enjoys researching rocket designs and writing reports on space-related topics.

My name is Mr. Schmieding, I am an 8th year teacher at Bay View High School. Writing is a way to practice self-awareness, observation, and to explain in detail a message a person is trying to convey. My background includes film, acting, and social studies. We are all part of the social sciences, thus is life.
I have three degrees including, Political Science, Teaching, and Educational Administration. I live on the North Shore with my wife and two kids. I coach baseball and youth football. I like the Milwaukee Brewers, the Green Bay Packers and Wisconsin Badgers.
I grew up in Madison, WI and lived in California before I moved to Milwaukee, where I have called home for the last 16 years.
