Rashida Begum, Reporter
Rashida is a senior at Bay View High School, and this is her second year as a journalism student. Being a journalism student, she also enjoys reading books, cooking, and traveling. She has been in 4 different countries, so this makes her love to travel, such as a solo traveler or going with families. She also loves to listen to Bollywood music on the way home from school or while going somewhere.
Taslimah Yunus, Reporter
Taslimah is excited to be part of the newspaper staff this year. She enjoys writing and sharing stories that connect with others. Outside of school, she loves cooking, playing badminton, and creating art.
Fun facts about her are that she does beautiful henna designs and can speak four different languages! Taslimah looks forward to learning more about journalism and helping keep her school community informed and entertained.

Mustakim Yusuf,12th grade. She likes reporting on student life. In her free time, she enjoys reading books. Her favorite book is a Somali novel called Maal. She also enjoys visiting the zoo with her family.
Dilara Begum, Reporter
Dilara’s first year at Bay View Oracle. She loves to listen to her favorite music, which helps her relax, and creates beautiful henna designs that reflect her artistic side and cultural heritage. A fun fact about Dilara is that she loves reading, writing, and listening to poetry. Poetry is her favorite way to express her thoughts and emotions, and she finds meaning in the beauty of words. She’s a huge fan of Jaun Elia, a famous poet from India.
