As the 2025-26 school year comes to a close, Bay View High School students and staff are reflecting on a year filled with accomplishments, memories and milestones.
With the final day for students set for June 15, faculty and staff recently gathered for an end-of-year celebration highlighting the achievements of students, teachers and school programs throughout the year. A video presentation showcased academic successes, athletic accomplishments, fine arts performances, community events and memorable moments from across the school. The presentation also featured lighthearted photos of staff members, drawing laughter and applause from attendees.
The celebration included special recognition for retiring staff members who have dedicated years of service to Milwaukee Public Schools and Bay View High School. Assistant Principal Mingyon Blackwell and Head Secretary Terri Kennon were honored for their commitment to supporting students, families, and colleagues throughout their careers.
Several other staff members were also recognized as they prepare to begin new opportunities at different schools and districts. Colleagues shared well wishes and gratitude for their contributions to the Bay View community.
Throughout the year, Bay View students excelled in academics, athletics, arts and extracurricular activities, continuing the school’s tradition of excellence. The end-of-year highlights video served as a reminder of the hard work, perseverance, and school spirit demonstrated by students and staff alike.
As summer approaches, the Bay View community looks ahead to new opportunities while celebrating the relationships, achievements and memories that made the 2025-26 school year a success.
