Mrs. Blackwell has four hairless cats (Sphynx). They are unique in their own way, with names that were taken from myths and legends. There is Anubis, the guide of souls to the underworld. Then there’s Erebus (Darkness), the God of darkness and mist. The females are Aziza, derived from the African myth of a supernatural race that lived in the forest of West Africa. Zuri is the Munchkin Sphynx of the crew. Her name is Swahili, which means “beautiful”. Mrs. Blackwell researched each cat’s unique name to match the cats’ personalities. Living with Sphynx cats is like having four human babies. They love to be held and cuddled. All four cats get along very well, and they love their dog brother, Sir Walter Bacon.
